Things to Do in City Centre

One of the best parts of living in City Centre is how many things there are to do within just minutes of stepping outside your front door. Public transportation throughout Downtown Calgary is convenient and free, with C Train stops all around the city that make exploring or meeting up with friends as easy as can be.

For one of the best views of the city, head over to Calgary Tower. The massive, freestanding tower in Calgary's downtown core features an upscaled restaurant at the top, as well as viewing decks to enjoy the city skyline with 360 degree views.

Visit the Glenbow Museum, one of the largest museums in all of Western Canada, to explore fascinating art and history exhibits. Some artifacts are always on display, while other collections rotate. This is one of the best places to explore when you're ready to learn something new and be inspired.

Visit Prince's Island Park at the north end of City Centre, bordered by the Bow River. This massive green space features walking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas, seasonal outdoor skating and cross country skiing, a full service restaurant, and space to relax in the natural beauty. You'll also find special events and music festivals hosted in the park throughout the year. Don't forget to spend time on the Remember Our Children  trail, a 30 minute walking path with art installations and education about the sobering history of residential schools for Native children.

Looking for somewhere to eat out in City Centre? You're in luck. The restaurant and coffee shop scene in Calgary is impressive, with every cuisine represented whether you're looking for fine dining or fast casual.

Schools in City Centre

Families living in City Centre are supported by the excellent schools that are a part of the Calgary Board of Education. Catholic Separate Schools and French Immersion Schools are available to meet the needs of each student in the way that best fits the values and priorities of the family.

City Centre Real Estate

Nearly every size, style, and budget is represented in City Centre real estate, with the exception of large acreage. Large historic homes, petite apartments, and modern townhomes are all located in the area. This means we can help you find what you are dreaming of, within your budget and criteria, in the city. Prices for homes in the City Centre district are sometimes a bit above other parts of Calgary, but many downtown Calgary residents find this cost to be offset by the convenient commuting throughout the city.
